Dr Cyril Cayley was born in Simla, India in 1865 and christened there on 2 October 1865.[1] He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England and Pembroke College, Cambridge.[2]
The 1881 census lists Cyril at Sandhurst, Berkshire, age 15.[3]
In 1889 he qualified as a doctor and surgeon. He became divisional health officer in Bombay, India.[2]
In 1893 Cyril married Maria Charlotte Black in New Zealand.[4]
Henry died in Bombay of cholera while working to improve sanitary conditions in army barracks on 31 July 1905.[5] He was buried the same day.[6]
