Bertha was born on August 23, 1876, in Weir, Kansas. Bertha is the child of William P. Chadwell and Marcia Robinson. Her father was a member of the Younger James Gang, and was killed less than a month later during a bank robbery. In 1879, her mother married Lewis Templeton, and Bertha used Templeton as her name until using Chadwell on her marriage certificate. In the 1910 census, she lists her father's birthplace as England, but this would be her step-father,
She married Edwin K Forry on October 16, 1895. in 1910, they were living in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and her husband works in one of the railroad shops. [1]
She died on November 25, 1947, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 71.
