Biography
Samuel was born in Ipswich, MA in 1838, but sometime after his mother died in 1740 his father moved the family to Boston, MA. He became a soldier in the French and Indian wars. He is listed as being 18 years old, born in Ipswich, Ma and a resident of Boston, MA. He was in Bagley regiment in Thomas Hartwell's company.[1] Baptised 4 March 1738 Ipswich, Essex, MA[2]
