Clara Chadwick was the daughter of Samuel Chadwick from Derbyshire, England, and Betsy Ellen Howarth from Lancashire, England.

At the time of the 1911 Canada Census, Samuel, Betsy E, Herbert, Clara, Viola, Percy, Howarth S, and Beatrice A Chadwick, were listed as living in Vancouver, British Columbia, along with Samuel's brother John W Chadwick^[1]. At the time of the census, Clara's occupation was listed as "S. Teacher".

Clara married Guy MacAdam in Vancouver on January 1, 1925^[2]. At the time of their marriage, Clara’s occupation was listed as “Music Supervisor City Schools".

Clara died in Vancouver on October 10, 1990^[3]
