There is no known direct evidence for the identity of the wife of Guy and mother of Otto, count of Mâcon. However, there are three different conjectures which have arisen regarding her identity.

See the discussion on The Henry Project (scroll down to Question 2) which suggests there is no certainty about who was his wife.

The article about Otto Guillaume, states that he became Count of Macon through marriage with Ermentrude, the widow of Aubry II http://sbaldw.home.mindspring.com/hproject/prov/otwil000.htm

FMG does not give her a first name, just - de Chalons.

I think for the moment don't recreate Alix, wait until Guy's profile has been updated some more, and we can mention her on there. Perhaps we can see if it is worth recreating her after that.

Do I create Alix again? Is it agreed that it is an equally good assumption, or, do we rename Aelise as uncertain?

These profiles should never have been merged, because they represent 2 different women, who are both proposed as the wife of Guy de Bourgogne. Guy's wife is never mentioned in the sources and there are various theories as to whom he may have married.

Lambert of Chalons could not have been Alice's father according to birth dates this is the more likely wife of Guy. He received the Macon appanage from his wife. See Otto WIlliam and the descent of the house of Macon. Info from this website is dedicated to Burgundy only and has many primary sources. I feel FMG is incorrect here and would like to open up discussion about this

Shelley can you please not create pre-1500 profiles using dubious sources such as this website; it is not suitable as a source and doesn't even mention this person. Gui's wife is not known for sure, and unless you have better sources to prove otherwise.
