Edward Pye Chamberlayne was named after Sir Walter Tregos Pye of Mynde, Much Dewchurch in Herefordshire, from whom he was descended by a maternal line. HIs parentage still has to be conclusively ascertained.
Edward Pye Chamberlayne married Anne Kidley, daughter of Richard Kidley.
