Biography

Benjamin was the son of Richard and Sarah (Bugbee) Chamberlyn/Chamberlain. He was baptized "4:4:1665" translating to 4 of the fourth month (June) 1665 in Roxbury, Massachusetts, son of Richard. Mother's name not recorded.[1]

He married in Sudbury, Massachusetts "Sary Baul" (Sarah Ball) on 5 Jun 1677.[2]

He served in King Philip's War: 19 May 1676 at the Upper Falls of the Connecticut River, listed as among those who fought under Captain William Turner.

Benjamin married Sarah Ball 5 Jun 1677 in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts where their children were born.[3]

After Benjamin and Sarah moved to Colchester, Benjamin may have provided services to the town (either Benjamin or his son): "Further voted to Give Benjamin Chamberlin ten shillings for beating the Drum ye year Past."

He died 8 Aug 1721 in Colchester, New London, Connecticut[4]
