Biography

Benjamin Chamberlain, Jr. was born in 1736 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America, the son of Benjamin Chamberlain, Sr. (1704–1771) and Esther Fassett (1711– ).[1][2]

Benjamin married Susanna MacLain (1740–1801) on 11 Apr 1761 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Their children were:

  1. Thomas Chamberlain (1762– )
  2. Benjamin Chamberlain III (1763– )
  3. Susanna Chamberlain (1763– )
  4. Lydia Chamberlain (1765–1843) ​​
  5. Thomas Chamberlain (1767–1838) ​​
  6. Olive Chamberlin (1768–1857)
  7. Joseph Chamberlain (1769– )
  8. Mary Chamberlain (1771– )

This is not the Benjamin Chamberlain who passed away in 1812 in Chelmsford. That Benjamin was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Stevens) Chamberlin, and married Susanna Barron. Our Benjamin Chamberlain's, Jr. father was of course Benjamin Chamberlain, Sr.
