Biography

Birth

According to the 1927 Pardee genealogy, Eunice Chamberlain was born at Elbridge, New York, on 2 Feb 1797, the daughter of Jacob Chamberlain and Sarah (Seymour) Chamberlain.^[1] Her gravestone (not a contemporary stone), however, shows her birth date as 2 Feb 1800.^[2] The 1850 Census shows her as 52 years old.^[3] The 1860 Census says she was 60 years old.^[4]

Marriage

Eunice Chamberlain married John M. Pardee at Elbridge, New York, in 1815.^[1]

Death

The 1927 Pardee genealogy says that Eunice (Chamberlain) Pardee died on 2 Jul 1869 at Pardeeville, Wisconsin,^[1] but she was living at Wyocena, Wisconsin, in 1860,^[4] and her widower husband was living at Wyocena in 1870,^[5] so it is more likely that she died there. Her gravestone at the Pardeeville Cemetery (not a contemporary stone) gives her death date as 30 Jun 1869.^[2]
