Biography
Married Polly Stoughton. (Polly could be a nickname for Mary). Oliver is buried in the West Road Cemetery, Troy, Orleans County, VT, [where, incidentally, Lucy Phelps, widow of his nephew Nathaniel Chamberlain (1799-1830), is buried with her second husband (Joshua Smith, 1807-1868) and children from his first marriage]. Oliver Jr. was the brother of Alva Chamberlain, father of Nathaniel Chamberlain, and therefore the brother-in-law of Alva's wife the Abigail Stoughton.
