Betsy (Chamberlin) Spaulding was born in Massachusetts.
Betsy, the fifth of seven children of Ephraim Chamberlin and Sarah Harwood was born on 6 June 1810 at Westford, Massachusetts.
Marriages and Children
Betsy was married twice. She married 1) Salathiel Adams (1804-1864), the son of Capt. Salathiel and Susanna (Proctor) Adams on 18 December 1831 at Chelmsford, Massachusetts.[1]They had four children born at Cavendish Vermont:
Betsey Ann Adams (b. 2 Aug 1833; d. 31 Aug 1868, Cavendish, VT)[2][3]m.
Julia Maria Adams (b. 3 Jan 1837; d. 14 Jul 1863, Cavendish, VT)[4][5] m. 12 Oct 1856 at Westford, MA, Ephraim Asa Stevens (1833-1914)[6]
Susan Augusta Adams (b. 27 Aug 1839; d. 17 Dec 1922, Woodstock, VT)[7][8] m. 13 Mar 1867 at Cavendish, VT, Isaiah Thomas Fullerton (1826-1906)[9]
Mary Ellen Adams (b. 11 Aug 1841; d. 27 Mar 1861, Cavendish, VT)[10][11]
Salathiel Adams died on 13 November 1864 at Cavendish, Vermont.
Betsy married 2) William A. Spaulding (1811-) on 21 October 1880 at Ludlow, Vermont. [12]
Death and Burial
Betsy (Chamberlin) Adams-Spaulding died on 29 Mar 1896 in her 86th year at Woodstock, and is buried in Twenty Mile Stream Cemetery at Cavendish, Windsor, Vermont.[13]
