Research Notes

Given that Kate doesn't appear to have ever lived with her mother as a child (through admittedly widespread points in time), I'm not sure that the abode given in her baptism record can be taken as being her usual living address, and may well just be where her mother resided (it was where her mother lived when pregnant too, probably as somewhere out of the way, nominally as a servant). It's possible that her mother wasn't even present at the baptism.
