George (born Chambers Mills, in 1760--died unmarried Aug. 17, 1802), joined with his brothers, William and Benjamin, in establishing Mount pleasant Iron works at the entrance of Path Valley, in 1783.[1][2]
A deed of 23 May 1807 names George's brothers and sisters: Ruhama Calhoon, Benjamin Chambers, Joseph Chambers, Jane Ross, and Hadasah Brown.[3] George had purchased a lot in Chambersburg from William Rippey, but George died intestate before a deed was issued, so a deed was issued to his heirs.
