George Chambers lived in Methven, Canterbury, New Zealand.

George was born 5 March 1844 in County Cork, Ireland. [1]

He came to New Zealand in 1871 aboard the Coronilla. [1]

In 1875 in New Zealand, he married Martha Smart. [2]

He began farming the Lyndhurst district (near Methven) in 1878 where he resided ever since. [1]

He passed away 17 September 1926, leaving a widow, 10 children, and 36 grandchildren. The children were: [1]
