Frederic Simpson Chambers was baptised on the 17th of March 1868 at Mountsorrel, Leicestershire. His parents were Nathaniel and Mary. ^[2]

Aged 3 in the 1871 census at St Peter at Gowts, Lincoln. His parents, Nathaniel (born Sturton, Nottinghamshire c. 1840) was a Coal Merchant. His mother, Mary (Simpson) Chambers (born c. 1842, Mountsorrel, Leicestershire). Also listed is Mary's sister, Elizabeth Simpson (born Mountsorrel, Leicestershire c. 1851) and a servant, Mary Lamb (born Newark, Nottinghamshire c. 1852) ^[3]

Frederic married Louise Elizabeth Garton in 1898 in Islington, Middlesex, England.

Fred's child Harold Frederic Nathanael Chambers was baptised on 22 August 1899 in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.^[4]

Frederic died in 1966 aged ~99.

Research Notes

A Mary (19) and Elizabeth (10) Simpson are both found in the 1861 census at Leicester Road, Mountsorrel in the household of William Simpson (Innkeeper and Butcher, corn Whetstone, Leicestershire c. 1813) and Isabella (born Mountsorrel c. 1819). Two other siblings, Isabella (12) and William (8) are also listed. ^[5]

Corresponding GRO records suggest that (the senior) Isabella's maiden name was Johnson.
