Mother of Emily Smith nee Thompson. Emily is the wife of Charles. Emily and Charles are the parents of Eleanor Hicks nee Smith, Tasman Ray Smith and Charles Gilbert Smith.

On Tuesday week last, Mrs. Thomson, grandmother of Mrs. H. T. Hicks and Messrs Ray and Gil. Smith, of Batlow, died at the residence of Mr. H. T. Hicks. The old lady, who was in her 89th year, had been very active until a few weeks previous to her death. The funeral took place on Thursday morning to the Methodist section of the Batlow Cemetery, the services being conducted by Rev. L. R. Bensley.
