OBITUARY. MR. A. CHAMPION DEAD. Well-known Adelaide Justice. By the death last night of Mr. Alfred Champion, at his residence, Omar place, Unley Park, Adelaide has lost one of its leading justices of the peace. He was 74 years of age. Born in Adelaide, he was the son of the late Mr. J. B. Champion, one of the founders of the Justices' Association of South Australia. Mr. Alfred Champion was one of the oldest members of the association. He was a well-known figure in Police Court circles, and occupied the Bench in Adelaide Police Court as recently as last week. He was a past master of the Lodge of Harmony of Freemasons, and for many years belonged to Unley Park Bowling Club. A widow, three daughters—Mesdames T. H. Boykett, of Unley Park; A. C. Feardy, of Malvern; and L. Adamson, of Melbourne—and one son, Mr. J. B. Champion, of Adelaide—survive. There are five grandchildren. Mrs. C. H. Nield, of Uniley Park, and Miss D. Champion, of Hyde Park, are sisters.
