Lucy Francis Champion and Harry Musk had a number of children in South Africa, although they do not appear to have been married. Their children included:
Louis Henry born 13 Mar 1904 and christened on 30 Oct 1904 at Woodstock St Mary, Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope. The family was living at 101 Victoria Road and Harry was working as a bricklayer. The witnesses were Robert Whitten and Louisa Matheer.[4]
Harry Eustace who was christened on 25 Mar 1906 with witnesses Harry Roberts, Peter Champion and Wm J Champion. Harry Musk and Lucy were living at 11 Mountain Rd and Harry was described as a bricklayer.[5]
Pedro Charles born 1 Mar 1907 and christened 9 Jun 1907 in Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. Harry was working as a bricklayer and the family was living in Newmarket Street. The witnesses were Johannes Champion, Henry Champion, and P H Van Blomenistein.[6]
Mabel Doreen Louise born 9 Apr 1909 and christened 23 May 1909 in Woodstock, St Mary , Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. The family was living at Dundonald Street and Harry was working as a bricklayer. The witnesses were James Champion, Jacoba Louisa Champion, and Nora Caroline Thorndike.[7]
Joan Jane Eliza born 3 May 1911, christened 23 Jul 1911 in St Alban the Martyr, Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa. Harry was working as a bricklayer. The witnesses were Annie van Blomenestein, Albert Edgar Jenkins, and Sophia Magdalena Paul.[8]
Walter Henry James born 7 Aug 1917 and christened 9 Sep 1917 in St Alban the Martyr, Pretoria, South Africa. The family was living at 33 Skinner Street and Harry was working as a Mason. The witnesses were Walter Harry Evans, Mary E Booker, and Phoebe Duggan.[9]
Lucy Frances Musk born Champion, 36, widow, married Walter Harry Evans, 39, bachelor, on 29 Jun 1918 in Pretoria[10]
Their children include:
Bernice Elizabeth Bridge Evans born 6 Sep 1921 and christened 17 Sep 1922 in South Africa.[11]
She died on 1 Sep 1945 in the General Hospital, Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 64.[12]
