Hi Anne

Thank you for adding a GEDCOM. The GEDCOM does not automatically populate your tree it generates a GEDCOMpare report which you work through either accepting or rejecting all suggested matches, once that has been done, you add any remaining names manually

The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.

For those using Chrome or Opera browsers, there is a tool that can help with the formatting of profiles which have been created through GEDCOM, so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, log into WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment. Alternatively, click my name to visit my profile. From there, you can leave a comment, or send a private message.

Have fun

Karen ~ WikiTree Greeter

Thanks Karen

I was aware that the tree would not automatically be populated. I did want to compare progress on my personal research tree and WikiTree but am quite happy to slowly add profiles to Wikitree. I definitely have more to learn about the GEDCOM compare process. I have written about my research progress, including on Wikitree at Regards Anne

Hi Anne,

I add that part to the message because not everyone is aware of it, so my apologies to you for that.

Your tree progress is very interesting, I shall enjoy reading it, and hopefully pick up a few tips that may help me 😊

Take care and have fun

Karen 🤗

A part of the discussion I opened up as a G2G question & that got some powerful responses, such as this link. This link gives us an accurate list (names) of soldiers present at Eureka from 12th Regiment of foot.

It also tells us the soldier J Hall who was killed was John Hall of the 12th Reg of foot.

Hi Anne, just to let you know I have added a new member Ken Hudson to the Eureka Stockade team page. He mentioned he had chatted to you on the facebook page about the team.

Hello Anne

The Australia Project leadership team are carrying out a check-in to see how you are going in the project and especially to thank you for all your work on Australian profiles on WikiTree. We really value your participation.

Please could you get back to me by private message to let me know if you are happy with your current role and team involvement within the project or if you would like to do something additional or different. Currently we have you down as the team leader for the Eureka Stockade team. If you would like a change, you can check on the Australia Project page to see what other options there are.

It would also be great to hear any feedback and any suggestions that you have to improve the project. On a practical note, if you are a member of the google group, are you receiving messages ok?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Gillian, co-Leader, Australia Project

Hi Anne,

On behalf of the Australia Project leadership team, we're carrying out a Project Members Check-in to see if you are still interested in being involved as an active member of the project. In particular, we are ready to launch our new teams for the project. Please could you let me know what team/s you would like to contribute to.

A list of teams is on the Australia Project page. Please respond by private message.

We really appreciate your enthusiasm in working on Australian profiles on WikiTree, and thank you for all the work you have been doing. We look forward to hearing back from you and that you will decide to be part of the project as we move forward with the new teams for the project.

Kind Regards

Hi Anne,

We sent you a message about a week ago about the England Project but have not yet heard back from you. If we don't hear from you by this time next week we'll assume you no longer wish to be in the project.

Many thanks,

We have been so impressed with the way everyone has rallied together and gone the extra mile to make this one of the most dedicated, productive and friendly communities on WikiTree.

What are you enjoying most about being in the project? What would you like to see improved or changed? Would you like to continue in the project moving forwards?

We're looking forward to hearing back from you,

Susie, Gillian, Wendy and Amy

Hi Anne

Just checking in to see if you are ok :)

It has been 3 weeks since I posted a message on your profile and I have not had any feedback from you.

If I don't hear from you by the weekend, I will presume you no longer wish to be involved in the England Project.

I will then go ahead and remove you from the project and remove the badge.

Hope to hear from you soon :)

Hi Anne,

It's been a year since the England Project was re-ignited. Thank you for being part of this exciting journey!

We really appreciate all your contributions and hard work :)

We would love some feedback from you please. :)

Are you happy contributing with the team you are on, or would you like a change, or even add to another team?

If you are not already on a team, which one would you like to be on?

If you are not sure what is available, just ask, we are here to help :)

Are you still happy contributing to the England Project?

Please PM me through my profile and let me know how you are doing :)

Thank you :)

Thanks for adding the Australia tag!
Hello Anne

I know you are still interested in being part of the Australia project, but I noticed you didn't have Australia as one of your followed tags. Please add a tag of 'Australia' so you can keep up to date with G2G communications from the project.

Thanks Veronica
