"Fate" Chandler, 92, Dies; Rites At Bethlehem
Hampton L. "Fate" Chandler, 92, of Dodson, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 1972 at Winnfield General Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Winn Parish and a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Ernie Yocum and Elder Charles Cagle officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. J. D. Black of Dodson; one sister, Mrs. Lettie Fannin of Winnfield; seven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
