Married 28 Aug 1866, Clara A Baker, daughter of Jonathan H and Isabella H (Hempstead) Baker.
He was adjutant of the Seventy-eighth Illinois Volunteer Infantry in the war for the suppression of the Southern Rebellion.
He resided in Macomb, Illinois; was assistant cashier First National Bank of Macomb; city treasurer and one of the supervisors of McDonough County.
