Biography
Johnathan was born in 1699, son of Samuel and Mercy Chandler[1]
He married first Abigail Jackson on 29 November 1723 in Plympton.[2]
Together they had a daughter named Betty.
He married second Abthiah Wade on 23 May 1745 in Bridgewater.[3]
He passed away in 1775.
His will is dated 20 December 1760 and proved in 1775. He mentions his wife Abthiah, his daughter, Betty, wife of Joseph Harvey Jr., and his grandson, Israel Keith. His inventory was recorded on 28 February 1775. [4]
In 1780, his widow Abthiah received her dower. A dispute between Abthiah and the executor was settled with Abthiah receiving personal articles, and a cow. [5]
