Biography

William was born in 1832.

He came out with his parents on the ship 'Randolph' as part of the first fleet of Pioneers from England.

His father was commissioned to work on the building of the Christchurch Cathedral. But after many years of the Church being undecided with many things, his father was too old to work on the building, however his son William Francis did and I understand was foreman Mason on the project. Other buildings he work on was a bridge at govenors Bay, the Lyttelton train tunnel, a font for the holy trinity Church and various buildings in Lyttelton. with He passed away in 1919.
