Biography

Phineas Chapin was born September 23, 1715 at Springfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay Colony; the son of John Chapin and his wife Sarah.^[1]

On February 1, 1738 at Springfield, Phineas married Bethia Chapin, the daughter of Benjamin Chapin and his wife Hannah (Colton) Chapin.^[2]

Phineas Chapin died October 11, 1788 at Chicopee, Hampshire, Massachusetts. ^[3]
