Biography

Thomas Cleave was a mason at the time of his marriage on 12 June 1826 to Jane Chapman, the daughter of John Chapman and Christiana Bellman. [Egloshayle Parish Register] Both signed their names. They lived in Churchtown from 1826 until 1854. [Egloshayle Parish Register] The family emigrated from Plymouth on 11 November 1854, arriving in Adelaide on 19 February 1855, and by March were living in Port Adelaide.
