Personally appeared before me Mrs. Elizabeth Garrett of the State and District afore said who being duly sworn saith on oath that she is the widow of David M Garrett deceased who was a private in Company B 2nd Regiment of Rifles South Caroline Volunteers, commanded by Capt Robt. A. Thompson. That the said David M Garrett died in the hospital at Richmond on the 15th day of July 1862, and that she is the legal heir and representative of the said David M Garrett, deceased and is entitled to receive the pay of the said David M Garrett decd for his services in the confederate States Army.
