Biography
When Robert Pope Chapman was born on April 19, 1896,[1] in Cross Hill, South Carolina, his father, Augustus, was 34 and his mother, Eliza, was 20. He married Mary A. Tinsley (1905-1993) on June 6, 1925, in Laurens, South Carolina.[2] He died on July 3, 1983,[3] in Clinton, South Carolina, at the age of 87, and was buried in Laurens, South Carolina.[4]
