Obituary for Donald Edward Chapman

Donald Chapman was born in Dallas, Texas, on August 9, 1941, the son of Eva Cornelia (Summers) and Frank Edward "Buddie" Chapman.

He passed away in Carrollton, Texas, on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at age 74.

Don was retired from Dover Elevator where he had worked for 27 years.

He lived his entire life in the Cedar Hill and Duncanville area.

Don was a great outdoorsman, who loved to fish and hunt, especially duck hunting.

He is also known for coaching a youth soccer team that won the Dallas Cup and later played in a tournament in Europe.

He loved his family and friends.

Don was married to Charlene Marie Nuaert and they had two sons, Matthew and Adam.

Matthew also has two sons, Christopher and Matthew Jr., "Lil" Matthew.

Adam and his wife Sophie have five children, Adam Herrera, Angelia Herrera (and fiancé Brandyn Mitchell), Brandon Chapman, Joshua Chapman, and Joshua Chapmann.

Don's great-grandchildren are Keira, Paris, Trenton, and Brooklyn.

Don is also survived by his brother, Billy Chapman & wife Lavern and sister, Jean Greeson; nephews, Charles Chapman, David Chapman, Paul Chapman & wife Jennifer, Jackie Greeson, and Shane "Bundy" Greeson & wife Kristen; and great-nieces & great-nephews, Christopher, Cole, Jack, Kate, Christopher, Anthoney, Brandee, Nikki, Cody, Deaven, Hayden and Katie; and great-greats, Heaven, Camron, and Aubrey.

Memorial services for Mr. Chapman will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 512 N. Cockrell Hill Road, DeSoto, Texas, 75115.

Burial will follow in Red Oak Cemetery.

Visitation with the family is 6-8 pm, Friday, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville.
