Jacob Chapman was born on 15 Jul 1786 in Nobleborough Town, Lincoln, Maine, United States.

Jacob married Jane Hussey Chapman , daughter of Thomas Chapman and Sarah Hussey 9 Nov 1810[1]

Jacob died on 20 Jan 1879 aged 92.

Robert Day's Regiment, at Nobleboro, Sep. 10 to 23. Private with Capt. Benjamin Flint's Co., Lt. Col. Robert Day's Regiment, at Nobleboro, Sep. 10 to 2 1814 Nobleboro, Lincoln Co., Maine. He served in the War of 1812. Jacob Chapman was a highly respected man who was treasurer and tax collector for the Town of Nobleboro during 1840 and 1841. He was also a Deacon at the Nobleboro Baptist Church. He lived on Back Meadow Road, in the Chapman neighborhood, which is now in Damariscotta, but was then part of Nobleboro, until 1848.
