Despite Elizabeth's admission to the First Congregational Church of Lebanon in 1723, Caleb did not enter the Church until 1742.[2]
Caleb departed this life on May 28th, 1776 in his 80th year and was buried in Exeter Cemetery in Lebanon. The inscription on his headstone reads,"Ah fruitless wish! How are his curtains drawn. For a long evening that despairs the dawn!"[3][4]
This profile had an NSSAR sticker with an invalid number (P-40836). NSSAR's online database does not include a Caleb Chappell (see this NSSAR search page). The sticker's information said he was an Ensign, with Connecticut, 12th Regiment.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Caleb by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Caleb:
I am currently transcribing Caleb's will from 1766 (available on Ancestry.com). There is an extensive inventory of his assets. Feel free to message me if you'd like to collaborate on this or review the transcription. I plan on including some of the learned facts from that document on wikitree once the transcription is complete and thoroughly analyzed.
Chappell-262 and Chappell-1043 appear to represent the same person because: Esther was the daughter of Caleb Chappell and Elizabeth Hutchinson. The profile Chappell-1043 includes their other children as well.
Chappell-1043 and Chappell-1480 appear to represent the same person because: They have the same parents (and are listed currently as siblings) but they appear to be the same person. Same spouses, children match, same death date. The main difference would be the year of death it is either 1687 or 1697
