Biography

Caleb Chappell was born on March 9th, 1697 in Lebanon, Connecticut to Caleb Chappell and Ruth Royce. He married Elizabeth Hutchinson on December 6th, 1721 in his hometown.[1]
Despite Elizabeth's admission to the First Congregational Church of Lebanon in 1723, Caleb did not enter the Church until 1742.[2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Caleb by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Caleb:

I am currently transcribing Caleb's will from 1766 (available on Ancestry.com). There is an extensive inventory of his assets. Feel free to message me if you'd like to collaborate on this or review the transcription. I plan on including some of the learned facts from that document on wikitree once the transcription is complete and thoroughly analyzed.

Chappell-262 and Chappell-1043 appear to represent the same person because: Esther was the daughter of Caleb Chappell and Elizabeth Hutchinson. The profile Chappell-1043 includes their other children as well.

Chappell-1043 and Chappell-1480 appear to represent the same person because: They have the same parents (and are listed currently as siblings) but they appear to be the same person. Same spouses, children match, same death date. The main difference would be the year of death it is either 1687 or 1697
