Biography

Sandy Chappell, Private, 3rd Battalion Georgia Volunteer Infantry (Holloway Grays), Company E.

Married Emily Francis Reynolds on October 27, 1857 in Upson County, Georgia.^[1] Children: Wylie, Alfred, and Serena. Enlisted March 4th, 1862. Died in the Battle of Murfreesboro (Stones River) December 31, 1862.^[2][3]

In the 1850 census Sandy (age 23), Laborer, was in Division 11, Carroll, Georgia.^[4]

In the 1860 census S (age 30), Farmer, was in Georgia Militia District 555, Upson, Georgia.^[5]
