Biography

James N. Chappell was born 29 September 1886 or 1887 in Hopkins County, Kentucky. His World War I Draft Registration Card shows name as "James Normal Chapel" and birth date as 29 September 1887.[1] His death certificate shows name as "James Norman Chappell" and birth as 29 September 1886.[2]He was the son of Charles Chappell and Malinda Fields.[3][2]

In the 1900 U.S. Census, James N. Chappel, age 14 (born Sep 1886 in KY) lived in Charleston, Hopkins, Kentucky with parents and siblings.[3]

In about 1911, he married Elizabeth "Bessie" Kemble.

James died 26 June 1932 and was buried at Suthards Cemetery, Earlington, Hopkins County, Kentucky.[2][4]
