Biography

BIRTH / DEATH

Clement Charboneau
Birth: about 1840 in Canada, based on the following:
1) born 1838 Canada, per census in 1880, age 42
2) born 1840 Canada, per census in 1885, age 45
3) born 1843 Canada, per census in 1895, age 52
Death: 1897 in Red Lake Co., Minnesota, based on his Will.
Died between 28 May 1897 (Will written) and 23 Jul 1897 (Will probated)
Possible relatives: Henry Charboneau and Lewis Cole (both witness to his Will)

PARENTAGE

Many family trees shows Clement is son of Antoine Charbonneau and Sophie Grignon, however, I CANNOT prove this.
Clement does NOT appear with this family on 1850 & 1860 census.
Clement should be about age 10-15 in 1850. Where is he?
It is POSSIBLE some researchers have associated Clement with these parents,
because three of Antoine & Sophie's children (Sarah, Antoine, Louis) married
three LaBounty siblings (Joseph, Clarissa, Amelia).
Clement's wife is Louise LaBounty, and she is sister to above named LaBounty's.
Therefore, it seems likely Clement is related to this Charbonneau family group.
But is Clement their son or nephew or other relation? I don't have the answer.

MARRIAGE

Groom: Clement Charboneau
Bride: Lousia LaBounty
Marriage Date: estimated about 1873, based on oldest child Aldam (b. Jun-1874)
Marriage Place: probably Floyd Co., Iowa, where Louisa living in 1870 & 1880
