Biography
John Charles was born around 1849 in Scotland, the son of Mary (Petrie) Charles and John Charles.[1]
He married Jane Syme Burns in 1871 in Victoria, Australia.[2] Their children were:
- William James Charles (1875–1932)[3]
- Elizabeth May Charles (1882–1943)[4]
- Isabella Charles (1886–1960)[5]
John died in 1889 in East Melbourne, Victoria, aged 38 years.[6]
