Biography

Henry James Putnam was my great 2x grandfather and his siblings names, places, and dates are still a work in progress.

Children discovered of Stephen Putnam, Sr. and Rosilla Charles are:

Stephen Jr.; Mary (Found working as a domestic with Drew Family in 1850; Henry James; Charles; John; Lydia;

Found the family living in NH Census in 1860

Found Lewis Putnam listed as an uncle in another census.

My mother's elderly cousin had in her possession, letters written to each other in this family. One being from Stephen to John. Stephen used "Putman" as his surname in some instances. This is where he may be searched in various spellings. Another letter from Rosilla to John was in regards to money and she signed it as "Mother". It is poorly written, as she was French Canadian and struggled with the English language.
