Hi again, new WikiTree member,

Please help us build one Collaborative Global Family Tree, with only one profile per person. It's important that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced- if you have pre-1700's ancestors please read our Pre-1700 profiles.

Drop into our friendly Genealogist to Genealogist (G2G) forum to introduce yourself - you can access the G2G by selecting G2G Profile from your My WikiTree menu at the top right of most pages.

WikiTree may be overwhelming at first, so don't hesitate to ask questions in the G2G or seek assistance from a Mentor.

I've always been interested in searching my roots. My grandfather left a valuable gift for me. He had commissioned the Drouin Institute to research our family tree in the 1950s . He was given a four volume set "Dictionnaire National des Canadiens Francais" including our family chart. Our family go back 350 years in Canada, and with the advent of the internet, it is now possible to go much further back. My goal is to simply help those who are looking for those important links, and find a few myself. It's not always about the destination, it's the journey there along the way.

Hi Andre,

Welcome as a guest to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile per person.

To start:

  1. Our community is a friendly place to grow your family tree because of 9 simple rules, called our Honor Code, so please take time to read it.
  2. I found the best place to start was our help pages, menu top right - especially How to use WikiTree.
  3. Check out the Family Tree & Tools tab at the top of your profile!
  4. Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum.

Want to Join us? Click the volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile about agreeing with our mission and our nine simple rules.
