Amy Chase Loftin. More descendants of William Chase of Yarmouth : being the progeny of William Chase (1787-1843) of Wyoming County, New York and Livingston County, Michigan. [Baltimore?] : The Author, [1968?].
If you read the narrative you'll see that the 1652 baptism is documented in original (contemporary) records; and that it's others who later proposed he was born much earlier. The merge should go ahead.
Chase-2468 and Chase-181 appear to represent the same person because: The 1652 birth date seems unlikely, albeit not impossible. His mother would have been around 50 at that time and his siblings were born in the 1620s and 30s.
Alternative death: February 27, 1686 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA
