Biography
Emma Elden Chase was born in July 1787 in Limington, Maine. Her parents were Amos Chase and Emma (Elden) Chase.[1]
She married James Libby on 17 October 1804 in Limington[2]. They had fourteen children:[1]
- Emma, born 15 Aug 1805; married Marshall Bacon
- Ann (Nancy), born 5 Oct 1807; married 1st George Meserve, 2nd Henry Pendexter
- Deborah C., born 22 Dec 1808; married Cyrus Meserve
- Harriet, born 20 May 1809; married Josiah Bacon
- James Elden, born 3 Oct 1811
- Moses N., born 15 Jul 1812
- Loraine A., born 13 Apr 1815
- Amos, born 12 Mar 1817
- Abner, born 7 Feb 1819
- Oliver, born 22 Nov 1820
- Dennis, born 28 Aug 1822
- Lewis M., born 18 May 1824
- Samuel, born 21 Aug 1826
- Susan, born 2 Jun 1828
Emma passed away on 20 June 1828 in Bridgton, Maine.[3]
