Jessie's headstone states her birth was in 1857, however, her death certificate says she had aged 59 years, 19 months and 6 days. She died November 22, 1915. It goes on to state her date of birth as Jan 16, 1857. Her brother Ephraim had a reported birth of July 1857. It is more likely that Jessie was born in 1856. She was listed as age 4 ( Ephraim age 2 ) in the 1860 June 7th census. She died from the effects of a stroke ( Apoplexy )
