Biography

John Chatburn was born in Yorkshire, England.

John Chatburn son of Richard Chatburn of Hatfield, Labourer, by Elizabeth, daughter of Isaac Dickinson of Fenwick, Wheelwright, was born on the 23 July and baptised on 12 August 1781. ^[1]

He married Mary Oughtibridge on 13 Nov 1808 in Thorne, Yorkshire, after Banns. ^{[2] [3]}

They had six children between 1809 and 1823 and in 1841 ^[4] he was about 60 years old and they were living in Eastern hill, Fishlake, where he was a Farmer. They had 3 of their children still at home, Richard 30, Elizabeth 20 and Susanna 15.
