Louis Marie Chauvin, son of Louis Chauvin and Angélique Perthuis, was born in Kaskaskia, Pays des Illinois about 1752. He married Marie Anne Francoeur in Kaskaskia in February 1770.[1] They had a child and moved to Louisiana before 1773, when their daughter was baptized there.[2]
Louis Marie Chauvin died about 1820.

This page about their son Paul Hypolite Chauvin[4] has Louis Marie Chauvin [pere]'s death as 1754, when Angelique was about 33. She [then?] moved to St. Genevieve, Missouri, still in the French Colony, with [Pol], his younger brother Louis (a two-year-old toddler), and an infant son Pierre. She died there in 1791. Her son Louis, who married Marianne Francour, died there in 1819. (No sources given for Louis' death in Missouri.)
