From "l'Ancien" are we to conclude he's an "the Elder" i.e. his sons include Patrick "the younger" followed by Patrick Sr., and then Patrick Jr? I intuit since he moved from France to England and his family persisted there, this might be what this should mean.

If so, that last/4th Patrick (the great-grandson of this one Chaworth-4) does not currently exist in Wikitree.

Or, on the other hand, is this just a French and/or unsourced way of saying Patrick-the-ancient-one, with no particular meaning for his descendants?

Cheers!
