Samuel Alexander Cheatley, son of Isabella Gallagher and Samuel Cheatley, a Farmer of Glentidally, Glebe, Donegal.

Rebecca Osborne married Samuel Cheatley on 16 July 1868 in Taughboyne, Donegal, Ireland. [1] Fathers Henry Osborne and Samuel Cheatley. Witnesses James Osborne and Alexander Burns.

Samuel Cheatley (23) Farmer and Rebecca Cheatley (21) emigrated from Ireland via Liverpool, arriving in Melbourne, Australia on 3 January 1869 on board Nereus. [2]

CHEATLEY.—On the 24th January, 1932, at the residence of his daughter (Mrs. W. McDowall), Grassy Flat, Bendigo, Samuel beloved husband of the late Rebecca Cheatley, and loved father of Harry, Samuel, Isabella (Mrs. W. McDowall), Rebecca (Sister Cheatley, Bendigo), Joseph, Sarah (Sister Cheatley, Melbourne ), John, and Elizabeth (Mrs. H. Hewson, W.A.), aged 86 years. —At rest.
