Children with Lucinda Byrd
Aaron Wesley Cheek was married twice. His first marriage to Sarah "Lucinda" Byrd ended in divorce. The children of Aaron Wesley and his first wife Lucinda are[1]:
Aaron Wesley Cheek died in 1891. In the 1900 census, Eva Cheek (age 12) [4] appeared as a ward in the household of Enos & Ella Settle [Edwards, sheet 16A] and Aaron D Cheek (age 10)[5] appeared as a ward in the household of Solomon Benge [Edwards, sheet 4B]. Solomon Benge married Hendrson's widow, Nancy Jane in 1893.
Children with Jenny Burchett
The divorce papers filed by Lucinda documented his "open and notorious" relationship with Jenny Burchett (later Brooks) on whom Aaron Wesley Cheek had fathered four children out of wedlock. Jenny eventually left the relationship and married elsewhere, changing the children's last name to "Cheeks". The children of of Jenny and Aaron Wesley are:
