Thomas was born in 1872 and his birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1872 in the Wakefield Union district.^[1] Thomas, child of Joseph Cheesborough & Mary Cheesborough, was born on 17 October 1872 and baptised on 2 November 1881 in Stanley, St Peter, Yorkshire, England.^[2]

In the 1881 census Thomas (age 8), Scholar, was the son of Joseph Cheesborough in Stanley With Wrenthorpe, Yorkshire, Yorkshire West Riding, England.^[3]

In the 1891 census Thomas (age 18), Blacksmiths Striker, was the single son of Joseph Cheesborough in Stanley, Yorkshire, England.^[4]

Thomas 24, single, son of Joseph Cheesborough, married Louisa Williamson 22, single, daughter of Joseph Williamson, on 31 October 1896 in Altofts, St Mary Magdalene, Yorkshire, England. ^{[5] [6]}

In the 1901 census Thomas (age 28), Blacksmith, was the married boarder of Thomas Marshall at Altofts Manor, Yorkshire, England.^[7]

In the 1911 census Thomas (age 38), Blacksmith, was the married head of household at Altofts Manor, Yorkshire, England. They had one child who died young. ^[8]

Louisa died in 1916, ^[9] and Thomas may have remarried Rachel Woodson in 1919, ^[10] and likely died in Pontefract in 1957. ^[11]

Research Note This record is likely Thomas and Rachel in 1939, Normanton, even though his date of birth is given here as 17 September 1872 and not October. Occupation fits and either DOB could be the correct one. ^[12]
