Israel Cheever passed away before September 11, 1706, when his estate passed probate.[10]
Salem Witch Trials
He was Keeper of the Cambridge Prison during the Salem Witch Trials, succeeding his father, Daniel in that position.[11] By 1693, he was officially named Keeper, and in 1699, he was made Keeper of the House of Correction at Cambridge.[12]
