Biography

John was born in 1866. His parents were Cary Cherry and Marenda (Hestand) Cherry. [1]

In 1880 he was 14 and living with his parents and siblings in Tennessee. [2]

He married (1) Marinthey L. Wood in 1893.

In 1900 they were living in Kentucky with 3 children. [3]

In 1910 they were living in Kentucky with 8 children. [4]

In 1920 they were living in Kentucky with 8 children. [5]

His wife died in 1927.

In 1930 he was a widower living in Tennessee with 5 of his children. [6]

He married (2) Ocie (Netherton) Odie in 1934. [7] She was 30 years younger than him.

In 1940 they were living in Tennessee with 2 young sons. [8]

In 1950 he was 83 years old and living with his wife and 2 sons in Tennessee. [9]
