Eleanor Constable Cherry (married name McCann) was born on 13 July 1836 in Lockington, Yorkshire, England, the daughter of Frances Cherry and Francis Cherry.^{[citation needed]}

She was christened on 20 July 1836 in Lockington.^{[citation needed]}

She married Thomas McCann in 1860 in Victoria, Australia.^[1][2] Their children were:^{[citation needed]}

Unsourced material says Elenor arrived in Australia on Arthur the Great in 1856 with brother Arthur, but I have been unable to find a citeable source.
