Maxey was born in the 1760's, about 1767. He was the son of Theophilus Cherry.
He did not live in his own home in 1785 (nor was he in the 1785 Federal census of Norfolk Co VA), so must have been living with his parents.
Maxey had two children, named in his father's will-
He was dead when his father's 1804 will was written.
