Biography

William Chesebrough, born 1 Feb 1700/01 at Stonington, Connecticut, was the second child of Mary (McDowell) & William Chesebrough. He was a namesake for his earlier born (1669) sibling who died in infancy.

He married 18 Sep 1720 at Stonington, Connecticut, Lucy Palmer. They had 5 children, all born at Stonington:

1. Nathaniel Chesebrough (28 Mar 1723 - 4 Mar 1725)
2. William Chesebrough (14 Feb 1725 - 17 Jan 1728)
3. Daniel Chesebrough (21 Oct 1727 - 25 Oct 1727)
4. Lucy Chesebrough, b. 15 Aug 1729
5. Hannah Chesebrough (12 Jul 1732 - 4 Oct 1814)

Of these, Lucy and Hannah lived to maturity, married, and had children of the next generation.

William Chesebrough died 23 Feb 1736/37 at Stonington, Connecticut.
